Each year, Pantone publishes their color trend predictions and selections for the year and this year, Living Coral (Pantone 16-1546) is the color of 2019. Slightly different from the traditional bright red or white coral reef colors, peachy blush and volcanic powdery pink are the shades of this year's living coral. Peach and pressed pink have been already trending high in fashion during spring fashion weeks, therefore having another same color family, living coral seems like a delightful bonus.
It is noteworthy that not all Pantone color selections are loved and were trending high each year. If you think back as recently as 2017, the color of the year Greenery didn't get that much love and a lot thought that it was boring, and certainly didn't live up to its title.
Well, living coral is surely lovely and easy on the eyes, deserving a plenty of love with that organic feeling, which is just perfect for the spring time. There also have been some Coral wedding trends going on, which seems to be also a great idea for spring weddings. So refreshing and adding some life to those traditional all white color wedding! So spread this loving and vibrant color to your surroundings.
Maximalists can go as much as they can, or all the way and commit such as paint walls, doors, whole set of bed coverings and furnitures.

For minimalists or if you don't want to invest too much on, go with color pop option such as decorative pieces, accent furnitures, curtains, rugs, bathroom pieces and lamps.

Whether you've got to have it all or a less is more kind of person, there are a plenty of living coral color items out there to enjoy this trend, or you might already own a couple of pieces at home. Mixing shades of pink, orange and blushes is also a great way to express this color trend, but let the coral be the center and pop. In the end, it is coral trend not pink or orange.
Just keep in mind that key to be current with living coral decor trend this year is not to be confused with 'beach house decor'. Those are more summery and ocean themed, but living coral color is more like your peachy cream blushes, spring colors and pink agate marbles, than sea shells pieces from the ocean. Think more of satin trend that is going on at the moment. It is feminine, lustrous and flushed blush colors that are organically beautiful.
