Starting today, NYFW is officially on!! Together with glamorous catwalks, cat eyes will always be a part of it. Whether it is for everyday or a special day, cat eyes are always in fashion. Let's do some cat eyes and join the fashion week spirits. I am not a great makeup expert but, cat eyes I can do. With a right eyeliner you are all set. 

 

EYELINERS:

There are many different eyeliner types out there. You pick whichever works for you depending on your makeup skill level and trends. So you might have to try them all and choose the best one for you.

Liquid Eyeliners:

Great precision skill is required as mistakes are most visible and you need to redo. But with some practice you will get used to it in no time. A major advantage of this type is that it has the most stay put and un-runny formula, and gives you the most dramatic winged cat eyes and is also capable of expressing the thinest lines.
 

This Burberry Cat Eye Eyeliner is new IT girl in the block. Dual-ended, first draw with the eye-defining liquid liner and then intensify with the shaping shadow. Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner already has a proven record with great reviews. Being waterproof, it is a performance proven eyeliner that comes with great colors.  

Pencil Kohl Eyeliners:

Almost no skill is required. Just draw along and close to your lash lines. Fill in between the lashes. Standalone advantage of pencil liners is that you can also draw it on your waterlines, both upper and lower, which dramatically adds some instant depth and definition to your eyes. The cons for this type is that it smudges easily and cause you raccoon eyes, typically along with mascaras.

Almay 16 Hour Lasting Eyeliner $9 

This budget friendly drug store eyeliner pencil defines eyes with color that lasts up to 16 hours. Water-resistant, long-lasting, smudge-proof formula stays true and stays put. 

 

Gel Eyeliners: 

A little bit of makeup skill is required. This is actually my favorite type since the texture and blend is like between liquid and pencil eyeliners. It has an application precision like liquid liners but has the texture of the sticky kohl. You need a brush to apply so it is kind of cons in practicality standpoint and you need also to clean the brush between the application. However, the easiness and versatility are what you get and with different brushes and mix, you can create different lines.
This is my favorite eyeliner actually. This is the original award winning gel eyeliner and it is still the best. This long-wearing eyeliner offers the precision of liquid liner with the ease of a gel-based formula—all with 12 hours of waterproof and sweat- and humidity-resistant wear. It is versatile as you go. You can use different brushes to create different looks. You need to buy the brush separately, though. The Bobbi Brown line offers Ultra Fine Eyeliner Brush $29 (similar to the L'oreal's below) paired with this eye liner. However, Sephora makeup artist recommended the angle brush above which I have been using for many years. But any little brush, even lip brush you can try/use with this gel eyeliner. 

L'Oréal Paris Infallible Lacquer Liner $9 

This drug store must-have eyeliner is something you would want to try if you've never tried gel eyeliner. It creates a glossy lacquer looks from the liquid eyeliner that is long lasting and comes with a flat application brush. It is a deal!
