Holidays are approaching and gold makeup seems to be a perfect thing to try right now. Color gold is traditionally known for its classically luxe appearance however its ultimate gold-ness comes from its shimmering metallic finish and the glowing warmth. Good gold! And with the on-going glowing and highlighting beauty trend, gold makeup sounds like a natural trend to be followed.

Typically, silver is the choice for winter makeup with its icy glow. But this year now we are moving onto gold side - golden eyes, nails and even lips!

Gold eyeshadows and liners still feel a little too goldy(?) at first. But when applied, it's gorgeous in person and either subtle or bold, gold lines compliment and accentuate other colors and add more dimension and definition to the existing lines.

Prada'd debuted their gold lips makeup on its spring runway several years ago and it looked quite unnatural and strange at first, but since then we've seen dark plum/black lips and metallic foil lips trending during recent fashion weeks. Looks like we are moving towards future!

If full golden lips feel too much for you, try to line the lips with gold color and fill in with your usual lip color. This will give your lips more definition and plumped look with golden shadow effect.

Now, moving onto nails. When it comes to nails, gold nails are attractive and easier to do since metallic nail polishes are pretty common nowadays. Try two tone nails - regular and metallic color. Try glitter pieces over a base color for fun. Or go as pure and solid gold as you wish.

An easy way to try color gold in your makeup is to use different shades of gold. Rather than sticking to the pure yellow gold, metallic shades like copper or darker bronze golds have more wearable look and easy on the eyes.

Try for upcoming holiday parties. What other color is better for the holidays than gold? When you look golden, the event will go golden as well. But remember. No matter what happens, stay golden!

Gold lips first appeared on Prada Spring 2016 with fine baby hair style. Tricky trend to try back then but it does not look that challenging now, does it? Metallic foil lips have been trending in Spring 2019 runways. If pure gold shade is not your thing, try coppery gold.

There are so many different golden ways to go in nail art, also shimmering or chrome finish. How about some glitter sparkling fun? Simple metallic look is pretty easy to achieve with metallic nail polishes. For the popular ultra shine chrome finish, you need metallic powder and gel kit. For the glitter look, while the base coat is still wet, apply glitter pieces over the base coat.
